The Timeline aims to give visitors the History of the West Wing through the timeline, while allowing each visitor to focus only on the information that interests them. The application dynamically connects to the digital repository and can organize its contents in the layout of time. The timeline provides functions for selecting specific categories of information, allowing the visitor to locate the information of interest and focus on it, charting their own personal path through the history of the West Wing and the events that connect them. The information presented in the interactive timeline highlights important milestone events in the broader historical period, while displaying appropriate details related to digitized collection exhibits and 3D models
Digital Document Collections

Digital Document Collections
An application that dynamically connects to the digital repository and can organize its content into structures that project a view of its archival material, according to its needs. The application supports the creation of digital reports so that the user can browse the content of such report through the narrative flow defined by the institution and view the characteristics of the evidence. The requirements covered by the application are the following:
- Dynamically pulling content from a digital repository
- Organize content into collections with desired features
- Jump to any item in the out-of-order report
- Composing with personal user content and creating a personal report
- Configuration and limitation of the content through a number of criteria/filters (e.g. chronological, semantic) and a corresponding possibility of configuration of the virtual exhibition displayed in user
Digital Exhibitions

Digital Exhibitions
Creation of digital reports with the ability to support a storytelling flow of the description of the evidence. From gathering the material and documenting it, a 5-minute narrative video of life in the West Wing was created. In the context of experiential education, important objects of life in the monastery, as well as the West wing itself, are represented in three dimensions.

3D Renderings of Heirlooms

3D Renderings of Heirlooms
I. M. M. Vatopediou has a rich building complex. The building facilities bear witness to their continuous use over the last two centuries. In these facilities, the old glamor and decoration of the premises are simultaneously captured, but also the functional renovation of some of them to harmonize them with the modern needs of hospitality, preserving, however, all the historical architectural and structural elements of the premises. The digitization and 3D visualization of the spaces of the West wing virtually transports the digital visitor and guides him to the old glory, the modern functional use and the inseparable coexistence of both. It is a special and unique characteristic of these buildings to mutate, adapt and serve the different daily needs of each time period. Also the folklore collection of I.M.M. and in particular the clocks are an integral part of the daily as well as the ecclesiastical life of the Monastery. Their history is great and reflects the various contacts of the Monastery with the outside world and how these objects ended up in the Monastery. These objects reflect everyday life, simple or rich, and the multi-level operation of the Monastery in each period of time. Their two-dimensional and three-dimensional photography digitally captures the object, is the basis for the promotion and dissemination of its information and highlights its high aesthetic and historical value. Therefore, in this action, the building of the West Wing, 50 clocks and 5 monuments of the monastery were digitized and modeled. 3D models were used :
- For interactive use through the project website with WebGL technology, and freedom of movement.
- To create a 5 minute 3D rendering narrative video. The visitor can in the given duration get to know the building of the west wing as it was in his time, see the exhibits, delve deeper, discover its history. The narrative video is the result of a script that emerges from historical research and documentation related to the exhibit. The narration of the video was done by professional performers and has music and subtitles in the English language.
